Your foundation for posture and security
Many only realise how important the pelvic floor is when its elasticity decreases. It supports and protects our body every day. Through targeted exercises, you can strengthen your muscles, prevent discomfort, and gain more safety and quality of life in your daily routine.
The key to more stability
Pelvic floor training
It carries, supports, and holds – and yet many only pay attention to it when problems arise. Your pelvic floor forms the foundation for your pelvic and abdominal organs and influences your posture, continence, and back health. Over the years, its elasticity decreases—especially after hormonal changes, surgeries, or lack of exercise. The first signs are often inconspicuous: a pulling sensation in the back after prolonged sitting, unusual instability while walking, or reduced control over the bladder.
But you can actively change that: With targeted training, you strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, prevent discomfort, and gain confidence and quality of life.
Wissenschaftlich fundiert
A study at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences has shown that strength training can help reduce stress incontinence. For this, 18 affected women aged between 40 and 65 trained twice a week for three months on our pelvic floor machine A5.
The results show:
Strength
The strength of the pelvic floor muscles could be maintained for a longer period.
Control
The exercises could be performed more precisely and purposefully.
Safety
The stress incontinence was noticeably reduced.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the trial training last?
The trial training usually lasts a maximum of 60 minutes.
How does the trial training session go?
Your instructor will go through a welcome sheet with you. During this, personal data will be collected, training goals will be discussed, and questions about health status will be asked. Afterwards, you will train on 4 to 6 machines. After the training, your instructor will present our contract options to you. Should you decide to accept an offer from Kieser, your instructor will schedule further appointments with you and create a training plan tailored to your needs.
What is pelvic floor training and how does it work at Kieser?
In Kieser pelvic floor training, you specifically strengthen your pelvic floor muscles with the help of the A5 machine. This measures your muscle contractions with an integrated pressure sensor ("Sensortube") and displays them on the screen in real-time – this way, you learn to consciously and controlledly tense and relax.
For whom is pelvic floor training suitable?
Training on the A5 machine is ideal for women and men of all ages – for example, in cases of incontinence, after surgeries, after childbirth, or with general weakness of the pelvic floor muscles.
How does pelvic floor training at Kieser work?
At the beginning, you will receive an introduction where you will learn how to properly use the A5 machine. Then you typically train twice a week: You sit on the machine, adjust the seat and foot position, and perform controlled contraction and relaxation cycles via the sensor.
Which machines or methods are used in pelvic floor training?
The central machine is the A5: Here, you measure your contractions with a sensor in the seat, while the screen provides you with visual feedback. The training resistance is individually adjustable so that you can train anatomically correctly and specifically.
How often should I train to feel improvements?
Kieser recommends two training sessions per week so that your muscles can recover in between. Initial successes – for example, better control – often become apparent after about three months of regular training.
Can I also start pelvic floor training at an older age?
Absolutely. The A5 machine is safe, ergonomically adjustable, and offers biofeedback, allowing even older people to train purposefully and in a controlled manner.
Is there an introduction or supervision by qualified personnel?
Yes. You will receive a personal introduction where you will be shown how to correctly use the A5 machine. In addition, qualified instructors are available to correct your technique and adjust your program.
Is pelvic floor training at Kieser also suitable for men?
Yes. Men also benefit greatly from training on the A5 machine – for example, with prostate issues, after surgeries, or with general weakness in the pelvic floor area. The machine is designed to be gender-neutral and is very effective for both genders.
